Devadas Krishnadas

CEO

Devadas has extensive experience in both the public and private sector and is an expert on strategy, foresight, public policy and economic policy. Prior to founding FMG, Devadas accumulated a rich breadth and depth of experience in security, fiscal, economic and social policy.

During his time in the Singapore public service, Devadas successfully led efforts in long-term planning, whole-of-government budget coordination at the Ministry of Finance where he was the Deputy Director of Fiscal Policy, Strategic Planning and Lead Foresight Strategist.

He was also the first Lead Social Strategist at the then-Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports.

He was also Assistant Director in the Joint Operations Directorate of the Ministry of Home Affairs. He served in the Singapore Police Force for 10 years where he assumed operational, policy and command appointments at the national and regional levels.

Devadas is a respected expert on the topic of strategy, foresight, public policy and economic policy, and has been quoted and published by various international publications including the Asian Wall Street Journal, the South China Morning Post and The Straits Times.

He has authored more than 100 Op-Eds in major publications and is the author of 3 books, FUSE: Foresight-driven, Understanding, Strategy and Execution® (2015), a landmark book on foresight-driven strategy, as well as Sensing Singapore (2014) and The Seduction of the Simple (2016), anthologies of his public commentaries on Singapore policy and public issues.

Devadas is a graduate of the Oxford University Scenario Programme (OSP) conducted by the Said Business School, University of Oxford. He has also completed the General Management Programme (GMP) conducted by the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. He is also a graduate of the Singapore Police Force Senior Officers Basic Course (SOBC) and the Civil Service College Management Development Course (MDC).

He was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to read a Masters of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) from the Fletcher School, Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. As an undergraduate at the University of Sydney he read Modern History and Political Economics and was awarded the International Merit Scholarship and was the winner of Aisling Society and G.A. Wood Prizes and took the Merit Book Prize for 4 consecutive years.

In addition to leading FMG, Devadas is also an independent Director with PartnerRe Asia Pte Ltd, a reinsurance firm and with Auto & General, a direct insurer.

Lee Kok Fatt

Senior Adviser

Kok Fatt is a core member of the FMG consulting and advisory team. He draws on his extensive experience in public policy, financial and economic analysis, and organisational strategy to help businesses and organisations grow.

Before joining FMG, Kok Fatt was a member of the elite Administrative Service and held senior positions in the Singapore Public Service including as the Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to President Tony Tan and as Director of Fiscal Policy at the Ministry of Finance.

During his 20-year career in the civil service, he played key roles in national projects, including the Economic Strategy Committee to chart Singapore’s economic strategy in the aftermath of the Global Financial Crisis; the Master Planning Committee for Land Use and the National Productivity and Continuing Education Council.

He also put in place national systems for Performance Management, in particular the Net Economic Value (NEV) system for sustained value creation and led delegations to Free-Trade Agreement negotiations.

Kok Fatt also served as a Member of the Board of Trustees, Institute of Southeast Asian Studies from 2010 to 2015 and was an Adjunct Researcher in the Civil Service College in 2011.

He was a Sloan Fellow at the London Business School where he read for a Masters in Management. He was a Public Service Commission Open Merit (Local) Scholar and graduated from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a First Class Honours in Accounting. He has also completed the Civil Service Senior Management Programme (SMP). He was awarded the Public Administration (Silver) Medal in 2016.

Dr. Li Bo

Senior Head, Data Analysis

Dr. Li Bo leads FMG’s Data Analysis team and is a core member of our Executive Education practice. She has extensive experience in data analysis, data management, statistics, modelling and forecasting.

Armed with a PhD in Statistics and an Applied Mathematics degree, Dr. Li Bo uses her expertise in multivariate data analysis, advanced statistical methods, advanced statistical theory and in computing, to help clients identify trends and gain insights for better decision-making.

Since joining FMG, Dr. Li Bo has worked on a number of large scale data analysis projects, including performing data analysis for a nation-wide studies on economic and communication policies. She has also led a team that pioneered the use of predictive analytics for better targeting and prioritisation of resources in government.

Dr. Li Bo has a PhD in Statistics and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Applied Mathematics from the National University of Singapore. She has published multiple academic papers in leading academic journals on data analysis and statistics and has spoken in local and international applied statistics conferences.
