FMG CEO Devadas Krishnadas was Conference Chairperson and Panelist at the Big Data & A.I Asia 2018 held at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre on 4 December 2018.
At his Opening Address on Day 1, the FMG CEO spoke about how Singapore can take advantage of the uncertain and changing strategic digital space to promote and pioneer a new concept of a Free Data Zone (FDZ).
Insights from our CEO at the Big Data & A.I Asia 2018:
“Beyond the attractions of the latest app, what’s really happening is that we are entering a new age of strategy. Governments and corporations have to make sense of this new age. In the 21st century, data is going to be destiny.
How do we harness the power of data? How do we control it? How do we monetize it?
The distribution, responsibility and burden for governance is no longer a concentration only on governments and non-government institutions but technological platforms primarily because they control, channel, modify and shape data. They are making use of this data through artificial intelligence to guide, curate, frame daily experience and consumer choices.” – Mr. Devadas Krishnadas
Mr. Devadas also spoke at an Industry Leaders’ Roundtable on how Big Data and AI will shape up in 2019. Moderated by Mr. Graham Brown, Show Host and Chairman of Asia Tech Podcast, the thought-provoking session was joined by panelists Dr. Cao Hong, Head of Data Science, Ernst & Young, Mr. Vivek Kumar, Assistant Director-General, National Trades Union Congress, Mr. Devadas Krishnadas, CEO, Future-Moves Group, Mr. Johnson Poh, Head of Data Science, DBS Bank, Mr. Victor Tay, Managing Partner, Stout (Asia) Advisory Limited and Mr. Sanjay Bakshi, Chief Digital Officer, Shell.
