Text analytics involves converting information from unstructured text data and putting it through the process of structuring to identify patterns and trends, so that it is more meaningful for further analysis. Text analytics is typically used in sentiment analysis, distilling feedback, social media monitoring and many other applications in the public sector to shape policy-making and support decision-making.
This course focuses on exploring different text analytics techniques, to generate reasonable and actionable insights from the data patterns often embedded in textual data. You will also learn how the use of software can help to process and visualise the textual data. The practical capstone project on Day 3 will help you put into practice the techniques learnt.
