Director of Public Policy

Responsibilities

We are growing our Strategy team and currently looking for a senior and experienced Public Policy professional, to co-lead and supervise a team of consultants in managing a range of strategic consulting and research projects, locally and internationally.

You will assist the CEO and collaborate with fellow directors to develop practical solutions for strategic and complex public policy challenges, and contribute to thought-leadership content in strategy, foresight and public policy issues.

Ideally, you should have 10-15 years of relevant experience in the public sector and familiar dealing with public policy issues such as in the social, economic and fiscal areas. You have also been involved in the planning, design, implementation and review.

Data Analyst/ Senior Data Analyst

Responsibilities

We are looking for a self-motivated, intellectual and passionate Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst to join our Data Group, to support us with our mission in taking a foresight-driven and evidenced-based data analysis approach in our consulting and executive training services.

Reporting to the Director/Deputy Director of the Data Group, you will work on local and international consulting projects and be part of the core training team for our signature executive education series on data science and skills.

You will be involved in supporting the content development and the delivery of our signature executive education programme on data skills. You are comfortable and confident in presenting effectively to small and large groups as well as to technical and non-technical audiences.

Besides executive training, you are interested and ready to collaborate with other team members, to provide analytical expertise on consulting projects in diverse areas for clients in both public and the private sector. You are prepared to undertake various forms of research, data analysis and apply different/relevant statistical models or techniques such as predictive modelling, text analysis and machine learning to generate valuable insights.

To be considered for this role, you have:

  • Strong academic results in a Post-Graduate or Graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Econometrics/Economics or other relevant fields from a reputable institution, and a Singaporean/Singaporean PR
  • At least 2-3 years or more of relevant working experience in data analytics (in training or consulting services would be an advantage)
  • Proficiency in R or Python is a necessity
  • Possesses advanced MS Excel skills and Microsoft Office
  • Proficient or familiar in the use of Power BI, Tableau and other statistical software, such as SPSS or others
  • Strong ability in data visualisation techniques and data story-telling
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Willing to offer ideas and proactive to assist in troubleshooting and solving issues without being micro-managed
  • Passionate towards learning new skills and knowledge

Associate/ Senior Associate Consultant

Responsibilities

We are growing our Strategy team and looking to hire suitable and experienced associate consultants, to be part of our outcome-driven, strategic and highly-collaborative consulting team, to define goals, push boundaries and deliver results for our clients.

Reporting to the Director/Deputy Director of the Strategy Group and close guidance from the CEO, you will work on a wide range of local and international consulting projects for both the public and private sectors.

You are interested and familiar with research-based activities, collaborate with team members to undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide insights from data collected, and willing to offer practical ideas to issues. You have what it takes to be able to manage multiple projects, deadlines and challenges, both as an individual and as a team.

You will also be involved in proposal and report writing, presentation to clients, project planning and execution, research and analysis, design and implementation of strategic projects, support executive education and contribute to the development of thought-leadership content in strategy, public-policy and macro-economic issues amongst others.

To be considered for this role, you have:

  • Strong results with good Honours Degree or Postgraduate in Economics, International Management or Business Administration from a reputable institution
  • At least 2-3 years relevant working experience is preferred. Outstanding candidates with less experience will be considered
  • Possesses advanced Microsoft Office skills including MS Excel
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools would be an added advantage
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illlusrator/ In-Design/Photoshop would be a strong advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Very attentive to details, organised, intellectually-curious, energised and a strong team player who is determined to positively contrbute and do well.
